Join Verizon as an Outside Plant Technician, where you'll ensure our outside plant facilities operate efficiently. Your role will involve hands-on work with cables and construction tasks, all while being part of a dedicated team that drives innovation and impact.
Key Responsibilities
Placing, rearranging and removing outside plant including cables and poles
Connecting wires and cables to terminals and attaching hardware
Reading and interpreting engineering work orders
Performing construction work using designated equipment
Operating company motor vehicles to transport equipment
Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft
Working evenings, weekends, holidays, and unscheduled shifts as needed
Required Qualifications
Valid state driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL
Preferred Qualifications
A related Associate Degree or 2 or more years of relevant work experience
Completed Verizon Technician Program or similar programs covering electrical or lineman training
