Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures direct, clear communication with Neurologists for reporting critically abnormal studies
  • Proactively manages EMG/EEG clinical schedule to ensure timely patient access
  • Ensures appropriate referrals and authorizations are obtained and eligibility is verified
  • Maintains EEG/EMG equipment, prepares patients for procedures, and records electric potentials
  • Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations and evidence-based practice guidelines

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to complete BLS certification within 90 days of hire
  • Intermediate computer and telephone skills, including Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with EEG/EMG equipment
  • Experience in neurological anatomy and related neurological disease processes
  • Clinical experience in an acute care setting (preferably Neurology and Pain Management)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in EMG/EEG testing
  • Proven excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
