Key Responsibilities
Ensures direct, clear communication with Neurologists for reporting critically abnormal studies
Proactively manages EMG/EEG clinical schedule to ensure timely patient access
Ensures appropriate referrals and authorizations are obtained and eligibility is verified
Maintains EEG/EMG equipment, prepares patients for procedures, and records electric potentials
Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations and evidence-based practice guidelines
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or GED
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to complete BLS certification within 90 days of hire
Intermediate computer and telephone skills, including Microsoft Office suite
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with EEG/EMG equipment
Experience in neurological anatomy and related neurological disease processes
Clinical experience in an acute care setting (preferably Neurology and Pain Management)
Demonstrated proficiency in EMG/EEG testing
Proven excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
