Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Travel Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team in Michigan. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions while monitoring telemetry and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and document care accurately using EPIC electronic health record.
• Utilize Pyxis medication management system safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and support staff to deliver coordinated patient care.
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Float as needed to other Med/Surg units, ICU units, and ED waiting areas.
• Maintain compliance with hospital and nursing standards, policies, and procedures.

Requirements:

• Active Michigan RN License (or compact license if applicable).
• 1–2 years of recent Med/Surg experience (Telemetry experience preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required, or willingness to obtain prior to start.
• Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work every other weekend and adapt to floating assignments.
