📌 Responsibilities
  • Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms
  • Administer and titrate cardiac drips as ordered
  • Care for post-procedural cardiac patients
  • Coordinate patient care with cardiologists, CVICU, and cath lab teams
  • Document in EMR accurately and in real-time
  • Respond to cardiac emergencies per unit protocols
 

This is a high-acuity Cardio Med-Surg/Telemetry unit caring for post-procedure and intermediate-level cardiac patients. Candidates must have recent cardiac experience on units such as Cardiac Telemetry, Stepdown/PCU, CVSD, Cardiac Med-Surg, or CVICU step-down. Must be comfortable managing cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Lidocaine, Milrinone, Heparin, Insulin) and cardiac IV/PO medications. Experience caring for patients after TAVR, Watchman, Mitral Clip, heart catheterizations, and open-heart surgery (post-CVICU) is strongly preferred. Unit uses TR bands and femoral/groin access—nurses must know how to monitor, secure, and recognize complications. This unit frequently receives patients with CHF, NSTEMI/STEMI, arrhythmias, PE, stroke, and sepsis—strong assessment and rapid-response skills required. Telemetry rhythm interpretation is essential. Every other weekend is required; no exceptions. Please ensure skills checklist and certifications (BLS/ACLS) are fully up to date before submission. Submittal packet must NOT include a driver’s license and should have all company logos removed. Looking for strong team players who are comfortable in a fast-paced cardiac environment and can collaborate with cardiology, CVICU, and cath lab teams. Ideal candidates are confident, adaptable, and experienced with post-procedure monitoring, cardiac protocols, and emergency response.
