Job Description

As a Navy Chaplain, you will uplift and support Sailors and Marines, conducting services and providing spiritual guidance in various settings. This role allows you to be a critical source of hope and encouragement to service members during their most challenging times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct worship services in various settings
  • Perform religious rites and ceremonies
  • Counsel individuals seeking guidance
  • Oversee religious education programs
  • Visit and provide spiritual guidance to hospitalized personnel
  • Train lay leaders in religious education
  • Promote attendance at religious services and events
  • Advise leaders on morale, ethics, and spiritual well-being

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. citizen or equivalent
  • Graduate degree in theological or related studies from an accredited educational institution
  • Two years of full-time religious leadership experience
  • Ability to obtain an Ecclesiastical Endorsement from a religious faith organization registered with the Department of Defense
