Job Description
Join Interstate Waste Services as a Diesel Mechanic, where you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of diesel heavy trucks. Key Responsibilities
Perform inspection, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, and repair of vehicles and equipment
Utilize diagnostic software to interpret failure modes
Initiate or assign necessary repairs
Assist with emergency breakdowns as needed
Required Qualifications
At least 18 years of age
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Valid driver’s license
Experience working on heavy duty diesel equipment or training from a recognized trade school
Ability to speak and read English
Meet physical and safety requirements
Provide own tools
Preferred Qualifications
CDL preferred
2+ years experience as a heavy duty Diesel Mechanic
Experience with troubleshooting/repairing DPF systems
Familiarity with diagnostic software such as Premium Tech Tool (Mack), Allison transmission, Cummins, CAT, Peterbilt, and Paccar
Knowledge of applicable DOT and OSHA standards and regulations
