Job Description
Join Interstate Waste Services as a Diesel Mechanic and play a vital role in maintaining our fleet of heavy trucks and equipment. Key Responsibilities
Perform inspection, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, and repair of vehicles and equipment
Utilize diagnostic software to interpret failure modes
Assist with emergency breakdowns as needed
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
At least 18 years of age
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Valid driver's license (CDL preferred)
Experience with heavy duty diesel equipment or training from a recognized trade school
Ability to speak and read English
Meet physical and safety requirements
Provide own tools
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years experience as a heavy duty Diesel Mechanic
Experience with DPF systems and diagnostic software (e.g., Premium Tech Tool, Allison transmission, Cummins, CAT, Peterbilt, Paccar)
Knowledge of DOT and OSHA standards and regulations
