Job Description
Join Constellation Energy as a Senior Reactor Operator where you will supervise reactor operations and lead teams in a cutting-edge nuclear facility. You will undergo extensive training to obtain your NRC license, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our power plants while contributing to a cleaner energy future.
Key Responsibilities
Authorize maintenance and testing activities to ensure equipment status is maintained
Implement Emergency Operating procedures and direct stabilization steps
Evaluate and respond to internal and external issues
Oversee special projects as determined by Operations Director/Managers
Create, revise, and review Emergency and Abnormal Operating Procedures
Review design and license changes for procedure impact
Provide operability review for systems during off-normal conditions
Assist in developing refueling sequences
Direct operating shift personnel in plant duties, including shift work
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Passing the Plant Operator Selection System (POSS)
Passing the Basic Math and Science Test (BMST)
1 year Reactor Operator license at a comparable facility or 1.5 years at a non-comparable facility
1.5 years in a position equivalent to Reactor Operator or Supervisor at military reactor
Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, or professional engineer license with relevant experience
